Windsor Locks to Hi! People Hartford is about 13 miles by road
Bradley International Airport is at Schoephoester Rd, Windsor Locks, CT 06096, and CTDOT lists the town as the airport's municipality. The road figures on this page start from the center of town, not from the terminal.
Set your map for 306 Market St, Hartford, CT 06120. The drive uses I-91, and the store has free on-site parking and CT Transit bus access.

Cannabis does not fly: what TSA says about screening
TSA's page on what you can bring through screening is clear on one point: TSA will refer any illegal substance found during screening to a law enforcement officer.
Leave cannabis out of your carry-on, your checked bag and your pockets. Buy for the days you are here, and plan to have none left when you head back to the airport.
Riding the CTtransit 30 Bradley Flyer to Hartford Union Station
CTtransit Route 30, the Bradley Flyer, runs between Hartford Union Station and Bradley International Airport. Schedules, fares and trip times change, so check CTtransit's website the day you land.
Union Station is at 1 Union Pl. Map the trip from there to Market St before you leave the terminal.
Out-of-state adults 21 and over can buy with a valid photo ID
Your home state does not matter at our counter. DCP's answer for out-of-state buyers says there is no residency requirement for adult-use purchases.
Connecticut law lets a person 21 or older use a motor vehicle operator's license or identity card with a full-face photograph as legal proof of age. Bring that ID to the counter.
Visitors pay the same state and local taxes as Connecticut residents. DCP says the same 1.5 oz possession limit applies to out-of-state residents as to Connecticut residents.
There is a daily sales cap too. Under Chapter 420h of the General Statutes, a retailer may not knowingly sell a consumer more than one ounce of cannabis or the equivalent in products per day. Our guide to buying as an out-of-state visitor covers the rest.
Hotel rooms, rentals and where each way of consuming is allowed
Connecticut law says hotels and motels must prohibit smoking and vaping cannabis in any location, but may not prohibit legal possession or consumption in nonpublic areas. If you are not sure which areas your hotel treats as nonpublic, ask at the front desk.
A rented house or apartment works differently. DCP says landlords may prohibit smoking and vaping at home but generally may not prohibit possession or consumption of other forms of cannabis. DCP's page on where you can use cannabis covers other settings, and our article on where you can smoke weed in Connecticut has more.
If you are not planning to smoke, two state limits apply to the other formats. DCP says edibles can have no more than 100 milligrams of THC total in a multiple-serving package. Since October 1, 2026, retailer infused beverages may contain up to ten milligrams of THC per container. Our edibles and THC drinks aisles are on the menu, and you can ask at the counter which one fits your trip.
Aircraft and a brick barn to see in Windsor Locks first
Have a few hours before the drive? The town has two museums.
If you have not seen enough planes yet, the New England Air Museum at 36 Perimeter Rd. houses over 100 aircraft. For something older than the town itself, the Noden-Reed Park Museum at 58 West St. has a brick barn built in 1826, and the town was incorporated in 1854.
Do the museums first, and keep any cannabis for after the driving is done for the day.
