Finding an infused roll on the live menu
Four steps take you from the live menu to an infused roll waiting at our counter:
- Pick your store with the store switch on the product list.
- Look through that store's infused rolls. If you are not sure what was added to one, call us before you order.
- Still deciding between infused and plain? Compare it with a plain roll in our pre-rolls aisle, or with loose flower in the flower aisle.
- Place your order online, then come to the counter at the store you picked.
We prioritize products from licensed Connecticut cultivators and processors. Current offers are on our deals page.
What gets added to the flower in an infused roll
Oregon's cannabis regulator, the OLCC, spells the format out in its product categorization guide: infused pre-rolls are bud or shake combined with one or more of extract, concentrate or hemp. Under that guide, kief counts as a concentrate too, so a roll dusted with kief is infused. Here at home, Connecticut's cannabis statute defines cannabis concentrate as any form of concentration, including extracts, oils, tinctures, shatter and waxes, that is extracted from cannabis.
Concentrates are not all made the same way. Our comparison of live resin, rosin and distillate explains the main extraction styles, and the concentrates aisle shows those products on their own.
Pre-roll weights and the 21+ rule
Connecticut's adult-use rules apply to adults 21 and older. When the state's Department of Consumer Protection announced the adult-use transaction limit increase, it gave pre-rolled cigarettes weighing 1 gram each or 0.5 grams each as examples of sale equivalents. Those examples are written for pre-rolls in general, and weights differ from one roll to the next, so check the one you pick and ask us if you are unsure how it counts.
Our cannabis possession page explains how purchases count toward what you may carry, and our guide to eighths, quarters and half ounces puts the common weights side by side. For the rest of the package, our guide to reading a Connecticut cannabis label walks through each part, and our overview of the state's cannabis laws covers the wider rules.
Once you have your roll, read where smoking is allowed under state law and the state's rules on driving and cannabis.
Pick up at Derby or Hartford, or order ahead
Directions to each store are on our Derby store page and our Hartford store page. Both stores are open 7 days a week, and online ordering is open 24/7, so you can place an order at any hour and pick it up at the store you chose.
We take cash and debit cards at both stores, and credit cards cannot be used. The Derby store has an on-site ATM.
If you want to ask about an infused roll before you order, call us at 860-420-BUDS (2837).
Guides that go deeper on rolls and concentrates
If you are weighing a roll dusted with kief or coated in oil against a plain one, our side-by-side of infused and regular pre-rolls sets the two formats next to each other. When you want to see the rest of what we carry, the Hi! People shop has every aisle in one place.
