No licensed cannabis store inside the city limits
The city has 10.8 square miles of land in the South Central Connecticut Planning Region and was incorporated as a town in 1921.
Parking when you arrive
Parking is free and on site. The Valley Independent Sentinel reported in January 2025 that the store is about 3,000 square feet with 90 parking spaces.
Three landmarks in the city
Savin Rock Museum, at 6 Rock Street, is a historic site and museum that recalls the Savin Rock amusement and resort area.
The Ward-Heitmann House Museum is at 277 Elm Street. Its c. 1725 house is the oldest surviving building in the city.
West Haven Green, at 464 Campbell Avenue, is a district listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Ordering ahead for pickup
- Build your order on our live menu. Online ordering is open 24/7, so the order can be in before you leave home.
- Choose pickup at Hi! People Derby, drive over, and collect the order at our counter.
- Bring cash or a debit card, because credit cards cannot be used here, and the store has an on-site ATM.
- If you did not order ahead, hosts with iPads in the store help you browse the menu and place the order.
A closer store is coming to 1041 State St
Our planned store at 1041 State St in New Haven is about 5.0 miles by road from the city's center, compared with about 10.1 miles to Pershing Drive. It is coming soon, and it will have the same Bud Bar experience. Until then, plan on the longer drive, and the store's page has a signup for opening news.
Shoppers coming from Orange or Milford have their own trip guides, and so do Woodbridge shoppers.
Questions before you make the drive
Can you deliver to my address?
Not today: your city is not one of the 14 towns our delivery page lists for our Pershing Drive store. Checkout on our live menu shows whether delivery is available for an address, along with the terms, before you pay, and our delivery page has the full town list. For now, order ahead and pick up at our counter.
Do I need an appointment for the Bud Bar?
No, the Bud Bar needs no appointment, and it sits toward the back of our showroom. At the Bud Bar you can view and smell cannabis strains before you buy. In March 2025, the Hartford Business Journal called it the state's first bud bar where customers can examine and smell products.
What time do you close on Sunday?
We close at 6 PM on Sunday and open at 10 AM that day. The drive takes about 20 minutes without traffic, so on a Sunday afternoon allow extra time when the roads are busy.
When you are ready, start a pickup order on the live menu and set your map for 90 Pershing Dr.
